Göbekli Tepe is an ancient site in Turkey which has pushed back the beginnings of civilization further than we previously assumed. The site have been dated to 9600 B.C., at the earliest

Dr. Brian Rose reviews the startling new archaeological discoveries that have been made in Turkey during the last 25 years, including the Roman Sebasteion at Aphrodisias, the early Neolithic cult circles at Goebeklitepe, and the Middle Byzantine shipwrecks in Istanbul.
