According to ESA scientists, the Rosetta space probe lander “Philae” is now transmitting signals from the surface of the comet. Implying that the lander has successfully landed and remains steadfast on the surface.

What makes it really cool is that ESA has recorded and uploaded the sound of the comet 67P/Churyumov – Gerasimenko on SoundCloud. It sounds strange indeed, a sound possibly best described as it begins with a clicking and later like whining sound, perhaps similar to a snow storm .. ?
